Miley Cyrus and Her Much Talked About Simone Camille Carryall

Looks like this week is a Miley Cyrus week for Crossbodypurses. And it’s all about her love of pom pom bags too.

Just a few days ago, we featured Miley and her Balenciaga Giant Pom Pom Bag (click here to read article).

Today is all about her Simone Camille Tier 1 Carryall Tote.

She was spotted sporting this very colorful and very eclectic looking piece  last March 22,  and it has been much talked about since.

Miley Cyrus Wears the Simone Camille Tier 1 Carryall, March 22, 2010

In case you haven’t noticed, the Simone Camille Tier 1 Carryall also features fluffy pom pom balls all around the bag apart from the rich embroidery, colorful fabric, mirror and stone embellishments, and metal disc decorations. It is quite a busy and bright piece and definitely not for the faint hearted.

However, for some reason, it looks good on Miley and I think I know why. First of all, she has the personality for it. Secondly, she matched the bag with a colorless outfit (black and neutral) – definitely the ONLY appropriate way to wear this flashy and ornate looking arm candy.

Actually it is no surprise that Miley loves this bag. Simone Harouche, the creator of the Simone Camille line, is Miley’s stylist, so it is just natural for her to wear one of her stylist’s rare creations.

In fact, I have a strong suspicion that the Tier 1 Carryall on Miley was especially made for her because I could not find the exact same color in the designer’s website  (made to order bags is a special service also offered by the Simone Camille line).

If you have eccentric taste and you are digging the Simone Camille Tier 1 Carryall, you may purchase it from the Simone Camille website for US$1,860 (visit www.simonecamille.com).

But if you don’t have bag full of cash to spend for this elaborately decorated piece, you can opt for any of the following colorful crossbody purses instead:

Fossil Capri Crossbody, US$78

Carlos Falchi Handbags Small Microfiber Grafitti Satchel, US$314

JADETribe Safi Bag, on sale for US$215 at Shopbop.com

It’s another Miley post! This time, the bag of hers we’re featuring is less controversial than the Armani Chevron Print Tote she used in the Paris kissing shots and less um, ugly than that furry messenger bag she carried around at the start of the year.

The cross body bag in focus now is the gorgeous Balenciaga Giant Pompon bag, which Miley has in very heavy rotation. Check out some shots of Miley with her beloved Balenciaga:

The latest spot of Miley Cyrus with her Balenciaga is the last picture, taken just last March 29 when she went out on a double date with her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth and some friends. Although I don’t always approve of Miley’s fashion choices, I’m with Miley on this one – I wholeheartedly agree that a bag that pretty (and that expensive – it’s $1,795!) deserves to be taken out as much as possible.

If you buy thousand-dollar bags like they were candy, then I’m envious and you can go right ahead and purchase the Balenciaga Giant Pompon bag at the Balenciaga website (just click on the link). If you’re like me and would rather splurge on the candy, then don’t worry because there are cheaper versions – always.

Here are 3 cross body bucket bags that are similar to Miley’s, all from The Sak:

The Sak Handbags Madera Drawstring, $203.00 now only $121.00

The Sak Handbags Silverlake Drawstring, $203.00

The Sak Handbags Studded Small Drawstring, $55.00

The Sak Handbags are available at Zappos.com.

Miley Cyrus and that Gray Fur Messenger Bag

Okay, this is getting harder and harder to ignore.

We thought it was just a one time fluke, but Miley Cyrus is dead set on using that gray fur bag as much as she can. She debuted it the same day she wore that cobweb t-shirt so it took a backseat to that, but it looks like she really wants us to notice that gray fur bag. She’s been seen carrying it around about 3 times in a row now, and it feels like there’s no end in sight:

Miley Cyrus loves fur… on that dog and on that bag

(Yes, she’s also always seen carrying around that adorable puppy, but that needs a post entirely separate from this one. We’ll just focus on the gray fur bag for now.)

No one has ID’ed that bag yet and we haven’t found the designer responsible for this. The fur is fake and it looks really soft, we’ll give ‘em that one, but poor fashion choices like this made by a celeb who has real influence over young and not-so-young kids can result in disaster. This could mean a comeback of the 90s fur that we really don’t want to see again, possibly mixed with current 2010 trends like digiprints, military, and (dun dun dun) BRIGHT COLORS.

So if you see furry, fuzzy bags in eyeball-wrecking colors and prints crowding the shelves of your favorite stores in the near future, then you know who to blame.

It’s difficult to find a fur bag that doesn’t look childish but if we had to choose, it would probably be something similar to the Wabags Yvette Fur Handbag:

Although the chocolate fur is questionably somewhat green, the exquisite mango wooden handles and the leather straps let you know that this purse should be taken seriously. It’s also available in a cow patch pattern, but it looks too much like  real cowhide that you almost expect the bag to look up and blink at you.

The part we like the most about this fur bag? You can use it as a handbag or a crossbody shoulder bag when you attach the adjustable strap.

The Wabags Yvette Fur Handbag retails for $155.00 but if you purchase it within the next 24 hours at eBags.com, you get 20% off of the listed price.
