Several models were spotted doing their thang and parading their cross body bags for the paps in just the past few days. There were quite a few of them in fact that I had enough to call this ”models with cross body bags” post a MEGA post.

Let’s start with Brazilian model and Matthew McConaughey’s baby mama Camila Alves who was seen shopping for flowers at an LA market last Friday:

Very low-key, hardly made up and definitely not in a place to be seen, but I’m sure there’s something about Camila Alves that made the paparazzi instantly recognize her even in this getup and at a place like this.

Second on the list is Czech supermodel Karolina Kurkova who was seen walking hand in hand with her husband Archie Drury in Tribeca last July 23:

Love the fierce look that Karolina K. is giving the camera and the way that she’s walking down the sidewalk like it’s a runway!

And last but not least, the super famous, started-out-as-a-German-model Heidi Klum was seen out and about with her kids and their nannies in NYC last July 18:

Heidi was a good mom and spent the entire day walking, going to the park, and getting ice cream with her kids. She might have a small army of nannies to help her, but I’m happy to see that she still makes time for her kids despite her hectic schedule.

Chewbacca Wears a Cross Body Bag Too – A Star Wars Day Post

In case you didn’t know, May 4 is unofficially declared as Star Wars day. I know, I know, I’m a week too late, but these promo ads for Disney’s Star Wars Weekends didn’t come out until yesterday. So for cross body bags and Star Wars fans out there, here’s a blog post you’d enjoy.

Chewbacca wears a cross body bag too! The beloved Wookie was spotted with our favorite bag style and here’s a picture to prove it:

Cross Body Handbags Reign Supreme at the 2010 Coachella Music Festival

Coachella isn’t over yet but it’s already clear what the handbag of choice is at the music festival: none other than cross body handbags.

Ashley Olsen’s Crossbody Style

Here’s a picture of Ashley Olsen taken just recently.

She was spotted leaving Generra in a very casual outfit, save for the lovely pair of high heeled platform sandals on her feet. Both her sweater and shorts were oversized. Thanks to the leather jacket she tied around her waist, the outfit didn’t look as big. To cap off her outfit, she chose a black crossbody as companion for the day.

All in all, though I do not entirely approve of the whole oversized clothing, she carried the outfit pretty well. I think her shoes did the trick. It elevated her casual look and created some balance, negating a bit of the outfit’s “frumpiness”.

If you like this Ashley Olsen style, you can make it your own by borrowing your boyfriend’s sweater for that oversized look, but do scrunch up the sleeves to your elbows.

I’ve been seeing a lot of celebrities carrying around these multi-strap, multifunction bags lately. One of them is sexy Latina star turned celebrity mom Jessica Alba, and her shoulder bag slash duffel bag slash cross body bag:

The picture above was taken just three days ago on April 1 when Jessica took her daughter Honor Marie out to lunch with her. Of course there’s no way a Hollywood star like Jessica Alba would be caught dead carrying a cheesy diaper bag, so she lugs all her baby necessities in a nondescript yet still stylish multifunction handbag:

I can see why mom (and even non-mom) celebrities like Jessica Alba increasingly prefer to use bags with lots of straps over single-strap bags. You obviously get more styles out of a single handbag as the straps let you carry it a number of different ways. Jessica Alba in these pictures for example, has to carry Honor Marie in her arms so she carries the bag on her shoulder to keep her hands free. She could use the longer strap and wear the bag as a cross body if she didn’t have a lot of stuff in it, and resort to using the shorter handles and carry it as a shoulder bag or as a tote as she puts more things in the bag.

I initially was averse to multi-strap bags because I feel like the extra straps will always get caught on something. But now, I think the uses that you can get out of this kind of bag overrules that strap problem. Besides, there are always bags that you can buy with detachable straps so you always have the option to leave them on or not.

Looks like this week is a Miley Cyrus week for Crossbodypurses. And it’s all about her love of pom pom bags too.

Today is all about her Simone Camille Tier 1 Carryall Tote.

She was spotted sporting this very colorful and very eclectic looking piece last March 22, and it has been much talked about since.

In case you haven’t noticed, the Simone Camille Tier 1 Carryall also features fluffy pom pom balls all around the bag apart from the rich embroidery, colorful fabric, mirror and stone embellishments, and metal disc decorations. It is quite a busy and bright piece and definitely not for the faint hearted.

However, for some reason, it looks good on Miley and I think I know why. First of all, she has the personality for it. Secondly, she matched the bag with a colorless outfit (black and neutral) – definitely the ONLY appropriate way to wear this flashy and ornate looking arm candy.

Actually it is no surprise that Miley loves this bag. Simone Harouche, the creator of the Simone Camille line, is Miley’s stylist, so it is just natural for her to wear one of her stylist’s rare creations.

In fact, I have a strong suspicion that the Tier 1 Carryall on Miley was especially made for her because I could not find the exact same color in the designer’s website (made to order bags is a special service also offered by the Simone Camille line).

Love the leggings and tunic outfit on Katy. Hate the tank and skinny jeans on Russell. What was he thinking really? That kind of outfit will only look good on a girl. But let’s not ponder on Russell’s outfit too much, shall we? Surprises like that (outfit) should be expected from an eccentric funny man like Russell.

Now going back to Katy, she finished off her look with a cute mini crossbody; not very ideal for a walking activity, but nonetheless cute and goes well with her outfit. A closer look will tell us that it’s a foldover, shaped like a saddle bag.

I love shopping for bags at eBags.com because they always have special features on their current handbag stocks. The features save you time when you’re searching for something specific and they also show you the other bags on other parts of the website where you wouldn’t normally look.

Mischa Barton at the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Day of Fun

Mischa Barton took a break and and channeled her inner child last Sunday (March 14) at the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s day of fun. The charity event, hosted by Kevin & Steffiana James, was held at Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California.

The 23-year old actress was the epitome a flower child that day in her ruffled floral blouse, high waist pants, cowboy boots, and flowing blond locks. I prefer this look on Mischa more than the trendy clothes she usually wears because it fits her looks and body type better. She looks more relaxed and comfortable, and definitely looks years younger in a getup like this.

Mischa finished off her outfit with gold and turquoise accessories and a tan leather cross body purse with a fringe tassel:
