You know how mid-range and mass market brands create knock-offs of signature pieces? Well, here’s one classic example – the Steve Madden BKhloe Crossbody, which copied the Temperley London Aurora Messenger.

These two look almost alike from a distance. Of course, once you check it up close, you’ll notice the disparity.

The Temperley is larger in size (about 12″L x 9.5″H; the Steve Madden is smaller, about 7.25″L x 6″H). Its handle is also studded while its body is perforated. Of course, with a price tag that is close to a thousand dollars, it is but expected that the bag should come in rich genuine leather.

There is also a huge price difference. The Temperley retails for a heavy US$895, that’s about 20 times the price of the Steve Madden, which only retails for an easy US$45.

It’s pretty clear that for the regular Jane who works hard for her money, the Steve Madden BKhloe is a very attractive and cost friendly option.

But differences aside (price included), which purse would you go for? The high and mighty Temperley London Aurora or the affordable Steve Madden Khloe?

At first I thought Emma Roberts’ bag was the same as Anna Kendrick’s Marc Jacobs bag because of the similar all over studs pattern, but they’re clearly not the same once you put them side by side. And as Emma Roberts demonstrates in these pictures, her Miu Miu tote is much more versatile because you can wear it either as a shoulder bag or as a cross body bag!

Vanessa Hudgens has been seen using her Cole Haan Phoebe Crossbody Bag a number of times lately that I thought it warranted another post here on Cross Body Purses. But just recently, Vanessa has been spotted using a different bag – and she’s using it quite a lot.

Jessica Stroup was seen filming for “90210″ with co-star Michael Steger somewhere in LA on July 29th. I wish there were more pictures from a different angle because we can’t quite see the messenger bag she’s using.

I have to admit I don’t watch “90210″ so I don’t know the character Jessica Stroup plays. For those who do follow the show, could you please explain what Jessica is wearing?

I see that the show’s stylists are trying to mix floral boho chic with the military trend. Does this have anything to do with her character? As a non-watcher, all I really see is a hodgepodge of unrelated clothes and accessories.

I’m going to separate Jessica Stroup’s messenger bag from everything else because by itself, it looks like it could be a really cool bag. Like I said in a previous post, I love beat up bags and military-inspired canvas bags like Jessica’s are one of the few things that look even better after being worn out.
