The Black Swan star, who’s up for Best Leading Actress at this year’s Academy Awards, was spotted out and about on the cold streets of New York City’s Tribeca with fiancé Benjamin Millepied on Tuesday, February 8. She was bundled up for the cold in a black coat, gray sweat pants and sneakers. A black knit scarf completed her winter attire, while a bright yellow crossbody bag provided that pop of color.

Natalie was spotted again the next day while running errands around town with a gal friend. She was bundled up again for the cold weather and still carrying her bright yellow crossbody bag.

I have to admit that I have a soft spot for the color yellow, and Natalie’s yellow crossbody bag is certainly striking my fancy. Yellow, of course, is a happy color, so it’s a great way to brighten up a dreary winter day. Could that have been Natalie’s intent in choosing a yellow crossbody? We can only surmise. At any rate, her yellow crossbody bag looks becoming on her and definitely gave that much needed lively pop of color to her monochromatic ensemble.

While there’s nothing particularly special with Renee’s apparel, her crossbody purse did catch our attention. On further investigation, we uncovered its make: it’s a black Tod’s Pashmy Luna Nylon Media Crossbody purse. Here’s a closer look:

The name Luna would account for its half-moon shape. Media bags originally refer to bags for laptops and cameras, which sport many organizational compartments. As you can see, Renee’s crossbody purse has many zippered compartments in front, as well as a zipper along the sides that extends its size. It’s very utilitarian and practical. However, here’s the thing: since it’s a Tod’s, it’s as pricey as any Tod’s product can get; it used to cost around $900.00, maybe even more. And even if that’s all right with you, it’s actually no longer available. If you want one just like it, I have other alternatives that are just as good looking as Renee’s crossbody purse.

Hmmm…I’m really getting curious. Any idea who made it? It is so generic looking that it becomes pretty hard to tell.

The bag doesn’t look extra ordinary, but I guess you could say that’s actually the beauty of it. It looks so understated and classic that she was able to pair it with practically almost anything, and bring it to almost anywhere. What’s the first thing that you notice when you look at the pictures?

Let me guess, his metal bag, right?

Me too. It completely caught me off guard the moment I saw it. I never thought a guy would wear such a piece, or that it would actually look good on a guy, but on Will.I.Am, it looks pretty fine. In fact, I’d have to say he’s got some great stylin’ goin’ on in there.

So, what do you think of the bag? It’s very  glam rock and edgy, don’t you think?  I love it and I want a piece for myself. It looks like it’s really made of metal, except the mesh is thicker and chunkier unlike  the usual mesh bags we see around. I couldn’t find any information on it though, so if any of you can tell me who made the bag, it would mean a great deal.

Doesn’t she look pretty even without make up? Now aside from her completely nude look, Leighton also kept it clean but edgy in an all white dress that she paired with contrasting black booties and an equally wintery white crossbody bag from the designer’s pre-spring 2011 collection.
