Paris Hilton was trying to hide from the paparazzi by donning several disguises while in Paris. She wasn’t very successful though as the paps still recognized her along with a LOT of people on the street.

Gee Paris, I don’t know, maybe it was the big, burly bodyguards, the “look-at-me” oversized sunglasses or the fact that Nicky Hilton was walking beside you that gave you away?

Anyway, aside from Paris Hilton’s interesting attempts at disguising herself, another interesting item in her pictures is her crystal leopard print messenger bag. It’s leopard print, but crystallized!

Here are clearer pictures of Paris with the bag in full view:

July 15, 2010 – Paris Hilton spends a day shopping in France in the city of her namesake

Digitalized, almost pixelated leopard print – what a cool take on the leopard print trend! The print formed by crystal studs looks very much like leopard spots when viewed from afar but it’s a little harder to decipher up close (check out the product images at the link at the end of this post).

This bag inspired a search for other cross body bags with new, interesting twists to the leopard print and these are the three that I found:

  1. Foley + Corinna Disco City Bag, $215.00. Bleached out leopard print – it kinda looks like it’s right side out.
  2. Brighton Haute Spots Mini Bag, $115.00. Happy rainbow-colored leopard spots!
  3. Dan W Jeweled Leopard Cross Body, $49.99 (was $100.00). Whitish leopard print bedecked with jewels.

Sometimes, the leopard print can look really old so I find these purses really refreshing to look at.

Paris Hilton’s own bag is the Balmain Crystal Leopard Suede Shoulder Bag. It’s € 1691.34 (curently 20% off) at LuisaViaRoma.com.

Football Star Focus: Cristiano Ronaldo

This is Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo

In case you don’t know him yet, he is a Portuguese football (soccer for Americans) star who plays for the English Premier League team Manchester United. Isn’t he just hot?

His hotness has done him quite well. It got him to do ad campaigns for Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. Here’s a sample of the ad.

Definitely sizzling! Ah well, I guess you could say David Beckham will have to move over because this guy is just getting started.

Now Cristiano was spotted a couple of times in New York a few days ago. And guess what? The football hottie is a crossbody junkie! Check out these pictures:

Perhaps it was a camera bag, perhaps it wasn’t. But one thing is for sure, Cristiano wore it the crossbody way. And that we love.

The pictures don’t really give a clear view of how the bag looks like, but we’re  guessing it could look like any of these:

Keen Oswego, US$80; Diesel Glory, on sale for US$112; Eagle Creek Vagabond, US$69

(available at Zappos.com)

STM Bags Scout Extra Small, US$50; Piel Deluxe Men’s Bag, US$205

(available at Ebags.com)

Check out these cute and one of a kind purses from Timmy Woods. I thought it would be interesting to feature this brand today.

Timmy Woods Bag Collection

Timmy Woods offers fashion-forward, one of a kind, hand carved, hand painted wooden purses. You can tell just by looking that the bags are quite rare and very uncommon to find. I mean, seldom will you find a blowfish or a duck that can function as a purse, right?

Timmy Woods Peabody Duck

Technically, these pieces are more like minaudieres with accompanying crossbody straps. But unlike your usual box clutch, these come with a whole lot of art. That’s precisely why the brand calls their collection of bags, “wearable art”. And I totally agree, these ornamental cases can even double as figurines for the house if you want!

The brand comes with its own cult following as well; popular personalities to be exact. Just to name a few – Liz Taylor, Diana Ross, Jodie Fisher, and even Hillary Clinton.

Of course, anything handmade and unique comes with a price. The purses run between US$200 to US$400. Yup, that much. But owning a piece will probably reward you with an emotional experience (not to mention compliments) like no other, and that’s what makes it priceless.

You can get your own unique Timmy Woods hand carved wooden purse from Ebags.com
