I’m always excited when I see exotics in bags and shoes. No matter how it is incorporated, I always seem to love a bag more if there are hints of exotic leathers in it, even if it’s just embossed or printed.

The Cole Haan Chrystie St. Camille Crossbody has that luscious look of exotic leather, minus the impossibly expensive price tags usually associated with lush leathers. The bag has a snake-embossed exterior and a classic cross body structure that is very easy to love. It also has good storage space inside even if it is just a mini-crossbody.

I cannot anymore count the number of times that Amanda Seyfried’s been spotted with the Alexander Wang Daria Small Duffel Bag. She’s been carrying this bag for so long now that it’s quite safe to say that she must be utterly in love with it.

The Red Riding Hood beauty had her black Alexander Wang Daria with her while out to grab some lunch with a gal friend and her furry buddy, Finn, at Chocoholics in the Larchmont Village in Los Angeles, California on March 8 (left photo). She had the same bag again on March 15 while leaving a Pilates class at a local gym in West Hollywood (right photo). There are more sightings of Amanda and her Alexander Wang aside from these.

How do you like it? It reminds me of the Louis Vuitton Speedy, without the monogram prints and logos, so it’s more minimalist and streamlined. And unlike the Speedy, this one has an added shoulder strap. It also has the same pebbled leather material as the Alexander Wang Rocco, but with far less embellishments as it only has a few buttons to dress it up (the Rocco had lots of studs at the bottom of it). Overall, it’s an elegant, non-fussy, bag that looks versatile and easy to carry.

This Alexander Wang Daria Small Duffel Bag is currently unavailable online. MyTheresa used to have it, but they’re now sold out. Do check that site every now and then in case new stocks arrive.

We’ve had a long time crush on the Proenza Schouler PS1 and up to now, we’re still looking for alternatives. I don’t think we can really be blamed; the Proenza Schouler PS1 I the epitome of a beautiful yet functional bag and we’re also not the only ones who remain head over heels in love. We proudly share our obsession with an entire Ps1-loving community out there and Proenza Schouler continues to churn out and feed us with new designs and styles of their immensely popular handbag.

Correction: not “feed us” but more like “make us drool”. The price tag on the PS1 still remains at an unreachable $2,000 and that is why that up to now, we’re still looking for cheaper alternatives.

Enter the Cole Haan Camden Alexis Cross Body Bag:

It’s not a dead ringer for the PS1 but that’s exactly what’s to love about it. It still features the double buckle straps, the envelope flap style and even the compartment at the back, but it has got its own thing going on with the braided leather and the vegetable-tanned goatskin material.

The Black, Chestnut, Dark Aubergine and Loden colors above are some of the more popular colors of the PS1 but they’re also the Cole Haan trademark colors. So this cross body bag is kind of a mix – a mix of the PS1′s beautiful and functional design and Cole Haan’s quality craftsmanship.

At $378.00, the Cole Haan Camden Alexis Cross Body Bag isn’t exactly a “cheap alternative”. Still, this is a bag that is meant to be really used and is not just as an accessory, and is meant to last you in the years to come.

Vanessa Hudgens got into some trouble last May 27. She illegally parked her car in a handicapped spot!

I guess it’s not that big of a deal but when you’re a famous celebrity like Vanessa Hudgens, it’s probably not a good idea to do something like this when paparazzi’s on your tail wherever you go. And obviously Vanessa knows it – you can tell by the way she’s shamefully hiding her face behind her hair in these pictures:

The high heel, slouchy silhouette and studded finish are too much to pair with her flowing gauzy top and shredded jeans. Add to that her long, wavy hair worn loosely and there’s just too much going on here in Vanessa’s look.

Isla Fisher: Mommy in a Studded Crossbody

The Confessions of a Shopaholic star was spotted taking her baby girl to a ballet class in LA, last April 1st.

Though we may not see any resemblance of the Shopaholic fashionista in Isla (save her face, of course), the celebrity mommy sure does know a thing or two about choosing the right shoes and purse to wear.

I love the toe ring gladiator sandals on her feet. It elevates her mommy look a few notches up and gives it a sexier appeal. Of course, forgetting to strap one on is a sign of just how busy this mommy is.
