I wonder how many Chanel purses Rachel Bilson has. I honestly have lost count of the number of times I’ve seen her tote a bag that comes with the intertwined double “C” logo. And just the other day, our favorite celeb crossbody junkie was spotted slinging another Chanel purse, this time, a classic black oversized messenger-like piece.

It really pays to be a celebrity because you get to afford such expensive pieces. And Chanel bags ARE expensive. Even the vintage ones run at US$4000++ or more.

I do understand the fascination though. The experience of owning a Chanel purse is simply priceless. It represents a certain exclusivity or status that not many women are able to achieve, mainly due to its high price. Of course, it is also iconic; and that only fuels the fascination even more.

It looks like Beverly Hills 90210 star Shenae Grimes has an all-time favorite purse, and it just happens to be a crossbody.

It’s hard to miss really, especially when she has been seen wearing it on and off the red carpet. The purse is none other a black quilted Rebecaa Minkoff Clutch with a crossbody chain strap.

And just how much does Shenae love this piece? Well, let’s just say she wore it in 2009, and she’s still wearing it in 2010.

I can’t blame Shenae for loving this particular Rebecca Minkoff creation. It’s such a classic and versatile piece; it looks elegant; and it is priced quite accessibly. In fact, I think it’s a great (and more affordable) alternative to the quilted Chanel 2.55 Flap Bag.

If you want Shenae’s Rebecca Minkoff quilted crossbody clutch, you’ll have to do some searching because that edition is no longer being offered by the brand.

Like the true supermodel that she is, Claudia Schiffer shows us how to stay fashionable even while 7 months pregnant:

Doesn’t she look so enviably amazing? These pictures were taken last March 25 when Claudia was out to drop off her kids at school and to meet a friend at Starbucks. Those are simple everyday tasks that a lot of us regular people do too, but if only we could do them with half the style that Claudia has in these pictures.

Claudia Schiffer is wearing a sweater that lightly skims her baby bump, leggings, and cowboy ankle boots. Her no-nonsense brown shoulder bag is what I would carry too for a day of running errands. It’s got a long enough strap to be worn as a cross body, but I guess it’s more comfortable for Claudia to wear it on her shoulder so that it doesn’t rub against her pregnant belly.

Claudia Schiffer is obviously a fan of this style of handbag because she chose yet another shoulder bag to use, this time for the afterparty of the European Film Premiere of the movie “Kick-Ass”:

Her purse here has a shorter shoulder strap than the one in the day time pictures, but it’s still a hip purse with a long chain strap. I like how Claudia accentuates her belly with a printed dress instead of covering it and I also approve of her choice of wearing flats instead of heels.

Don’t they just look so cute together? It’s like, when you look at them, they are really meant for each other. These two met on the set of the movie “Jumper”, and from then on they have been inseparable. They are engaged by the way, in case you don’t know.

The two were recently spotted in Vancouver, Canada (Hayden’s home country) last February 20. The lovebirds were seen heading for a coffee-and-crepes shop, after which they went walking around the place.

Quilted Handbags are everywhere these days. Department store brands to high-end designers offer their own interpretation of this piece of accessory, which, by the way, has already become a classic rather than a trend.

For some reason, quilted handbags, especially those with diamond or herringbone patterns, look unique and classy. Unique because of the texture it creates, and classy because such a pattern reminds me of Chanel, the brand that produced the very first quilted bag – the iconic Chanel 2.55 Flap.
