Turquoise ...Read more »]]> Proenza Schouler’s Spring 2012 collection is probably one of my favorite runway shows in the recent New York Fashion Week. Presenting a 1950s-theme, it had an interesting color palette plus an astounding use of handbags and purses. There were boxy metallic satchels and raffia handbags. But it was the camera bags that were truly eye-catching.

Colored in bold, almost modish colors, these retro-inspired camera bags were hand held by the models as they strut down the runway. One look and it was enough to see that they fit the vintage theme of the Proenza Schouler collection very well. They looked casual and light, absolutely perfect for the spring. I wouldn’t be surprised if a good number of the population started using these camera bags by next year. Look at them, they’re so spectacular! If we can pre-order for these babies like we can their boxy satchels, I’d get right on it.

But while they did have straps, the camera bags didn’t look like they’re long enough to be a cross-body bag. Sure your camera can fit in there but modern cross-body camera bags can do that and more.

While ...Read more »]]> Haylie Duff and Ashley Tisdale went shopping at Barneys New York on Thursday, August 18. While we loved both ladies’ fashion style, it was Haylie’s outfit we gave a thumbs up to. She was wearing an off-shoulder knit top, shorts, fringe booties, and on her arm was a dark, medium-sized satchel with a shoulder/cross-body strap. 

While we appreciate the whole ensemble, it was her satchel we zeroed in on because, just like you, we’re addicted to bags! Jessica’s little sister seems to have come into her own, and from the looks of it, she’s doing really well. We don’t know why she has changed her style from mainstream and pop to Boho. Our ever-on-the-lookout-for-cross-body-purses eyes immediately zoomed in on Olivia’s cute cross body when we came across this image. We totally love it! Olivia’s cross body bag gave her downtown style an edgy bohemian feel and provided a stylish touch to her ensemble. Its strap looks braided and there’s some sort of a braid trimming surrounding its body, all of which add to the lovely look of this cross body bag.
