Kate Bosworth was a bare-faced beauty at the Mulberry LA Pool Party held last July 20. She even wore a casual get up to go with the no-make up look.

But although she was looking rather ordinary, she still stole the spotlight with her stunning leopard printed crossbody, probably from the brand’s recent collection.

I like how she dressed up and brightened up her look. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen her do such a thing. We’ve seen her wear a bright colored crossbody to dress up a plain outfit before.

I guess you could say it’s a little sneaky too. I mean, be all dressed up in T shirt and jeans and somehow get away with not looking so good because the bag looks soooo darn fabulous. I wouldn’t mind taking such a cue from her though, sneaky or not. Which is why I went about searching for these:

Several models were spotted doing their thang and parading their cross body bags for the paps in just the past few days. There were quite a few of them in fact that I had enough to call this ”models with cross body bags” post a MEGA post.

Let’s start with Brazilian model and Matthew McConaughey’s baby mama Camila Alves who was seen shopping for flowers at an LA market last Friday:

Very low-key, hardly made up and definitely not in a place to be seen, but I’m sure there’s something about Camila Alves that made the paparazzi instantly recognize her even in this getup and at a place like this.

Second on the list is Czech supermodel Karolina Kurkova who was seen walking hand in hand with her husband Archie Drury in Tribeca last July 23:

Love the fierce look that Karolina K. is giving the camera and the way that she’s walking down the sidewalk like it’s a runway!

And last but not least, the super famous, started-out-as-a-German-model Heidi Klum was seen out and about with her kids and their nannies in NYC last July 18:

Heidi was a good mom and spent the entire day walking, going to the park, and getting ice cream with her kids. She might have a small army of nannies to help her, but I’m happy to see that she still makes time for her kids despite her hectic schedule.

When I saw this picture of Lea Michele a few weeks ago, I knew I had seen her crossbody bag before, but from where I couldn’t pinpoint. The Glee star was spotted heading to a Sara Bareilles concert with her BFF and co-star Jonathan Groff that night (July 7).

Fast forward to yesterday, while I was browsing through Shopbop’s inventory of bags, I saw this:

Boy was I ecstatic! It’s Lea’s bag! Hurray for me! Finally, I can now put my mind to rest. For a while there, her bag got me going in circles.

That aside, the bag is actually quite notable. For such a small piece (only 6″H x 8″L), it can store more than your usual. Apart from the main compartment, the flap also serves as another space for storage.

It also comes in Black and Newsprint, which is like charcoal gray. If you want it, it retails for an accessible US$228; not exactly cheap, but accessible.

I wonder how many Chanel purses Rachel Bilson has. I honestly have lost count of the number of times I’ve seen her tote a bag that comes with the intertwined double “C” logo. And just the other day, our favorite celeb crossbody junkie was spotted slinging another Chanel purse, this time, a classic black oversized messenger-like piece.

It really pays to be a celebrity because you get to afford such expensive pieces. And Chanel bags ARE expensive. Even the vintage ones run at US$4000++ or more.

I do understand the fascination though. The experience of owning a Chanel purse is simply priceless. It represents a certain exclusivity or status that not many women are able to achieve, mainly due to its high price. Of course, it is also iconic; and that only fuels the fascination even more.

It’s another Ashley with a cross body bag sighting!

This time it’s Ashlee Simpson who was seen on her way to the Ken Paves Salon in West Hollywood on Monday:

She was there to promote the salon’s “Makeover Madness” charity event wherein part of the proceeds from the beauty packages go to Rally for Kids with Cancer. Another celeb who also took part in helping promote the event was Eva Longoria.

It’s nice to see Ashlee Simpson out and about again but doesn’t she look so different from the time when she first became famous? Her hair’s lighter, she’s so boho chic with that band around her head, and she’s wearing bright yellow! Oh well, at least she’s looking happy and seems to be very comfortable in her newfound style.

As for her tan cross body bag, Ashlee was first spotted using it for traveling:

I like that this cross body bag is big enough to use as a carry on but small enough to fit just your everyday things. Oh and the zipper-edged florettes on the flap are cute too!

It looks like this Disney darling works out religiously to keep that figure in tip top shape. I love the slightly bohemian cowgirl look, even if the boots were probably a little too warm to wear for the sunny weather. Put a hat on her head and she’d fit right in Texas. Outfit aside though, what I really noticed firsthand was the bag.

It’s the Cleobella Zula Bag; the one I thought Vanessa Hudgens was carrying (click here to read article) then soon realized that it was a different variant of the bag called the Cleobella Daniella. The two probably shop together. Either that or Ashley likes copying Vanessa’s style because check out this picture taken just last July 12:

Actually, I don’t think she copies V. And it’s probably no mere coincidence either; but they probably share and compare notes, know what I mean?

Paris Hilton was trying to hide from the paparazzi by donning several disguises while in Paris. She wasn’t very successful though as the paps still recognized her along with a LOT of people on the street.

Gee Paris, I don’t know, maybe it was the big, burly bodyguards, the “look-at-me” oversized sunglasses or the fact that Nicky Hilton was walking beside you that gave you away?

Anyway, aside from Paris Hilton’s interesting attempts at disguising herself, another interesting item in her pictures is her crystal leopard print messenger bag. It’s leopard print, but crystallized!

Digitalized, almost pixelated leopard print – what a cool take on the leopard print trend! The print formed by crystal studs looks very much like leopard spots when viewed from afar but it’s a little harder to decipher up close (check out the product images at the link at the end of this post).

This bag inspired a search for other cross body bags with new, interesting twists to the leopard print and these are the three that I found:

Off screen celebrity couple Blake Lively and Penn Badgley were spotted doing some PDA while out in New York City two days ago (July 13). Penn did a bit of butt squeezing on Blake and the naughty but cute deed was fully captured on camera.

I have to say, I never thought these two would last. But they seem to be going really strong. Penn is one lucky guy, that much I can say. Blake is such a catch – tall, blond, beautiful, and likes being in the relationship. What more can a guy ask for?

PDA aside, I love Blake’s outfit; her look is the precise embodiment of summer chic. The dress is simple, but with the accessories, she’s all picture perfect.

Here’s yet another cross body purse sighting on Rachel Bilson. I have yet to make an official count but I think she’s the reigning cross body purse queen here on our blog!

The sighting was made on the the 28-year-old actress’s zoo trip to the LA Zoo & Botanical Gardens with her stepmom and her half-sisters last July 13. Here are pictures of what Rachel Bilson wore for the family day and of course, the chain strap cross body purse that she carried:

The trio were spotted at Petco buying a lizard tank. I just couldn’t help but notice the way Tori was dressed. I love the way she tucked her skinny jeans into those wide cuffed sandals, though I’m not exactly a fan of the tunic top she wore it with.
